Beauty Brand Elizabeth Arden Nabs A True Beauty For Ambassador Post.

Next on our list of Africans who keep transcending and achieving aspirational success is a Nigerian and Ghanaian daughter. Step forward 28 year old top African model and actress Adeola Ariyo who has been named the brand ambassador for New York based beauty brand Elizabeth Arden, and the only African to date. Unlike her predecessor Lerato Moloi, Adeola will be representing the whole of the African continent under her ambassador post. Discovered in London by MODELS1 aged 13 whilst out shopping with her father, the beauty now resides in Cape Town, South Africa.

Corne Nel, Managing Director of Elizabeth Arden, commented: “As a company, we want to celebrate each woman’s unique beauty through individuality, diversity and original expressions of beauty. Adeola has all of these qualities and as a prestige beauty brand, we wanted to choose a spokesperson that African women could identify with.” The official announcement for the unveiling was made at Krammerville, Sandton, South Africa.

Adeola on her part says “Being chosen as an Elizabeth Arden Brand Ambassador in Africa is an incredible honour”. “Elizabeth Arden herself was an entrepreneur, women’s advocate and a champion for holistic beauty, inspiring women all over the world. I am proud to be associated with a brand that embodies such important values”.

The model will feature in several ad-campaigns for the brand, and might we say that we are mighty pleased that finally a major beauty brand has embraced the fact that women of colour contribute immensely to their sales margins.

Adeola was one of the finalists at Nokia Face of Africa in 2005. Her meteoric rise in the industry has seen her grace several high-end editorials for Elle Magazine, Marie Claire, Glamour and True Love. Having once stated that models were walking hangers, her experience of the industry bodes well as she is already lined up to work on campaigns for the following products under the brands umbrella: Skin Illuminating, Visible Difference and Perfectly Nude SPF15 and foundations.

Congratulation Adeola, we look forward to seeing a woman of colour under the Elizabeth Arden brand.
